A Carnival Community Focus Program

Since the early days of Carnival, community participation and outreach has been as integral part of the celebration. Our Community Focus program is dedicated to assisting non-profit agencies that serve the needs of children. The combined efforts of Carnival, the Grand Krewes and our dedicated volunteers provide an opportunity doe us to make a positive and lasting impact the community. Children are our future and Carnival has made a significant commitment to help improve the quality of life of those in need.

Carnival Memphis has donated in excess of $600,000 to local children's charities, in the past eight years alone! This year the Children's Charity Initiative will benefit:

Emanuel Episcopal Center
Neighborhood School, and
Uniteed Cerebal Palsy of the the Mid-South

Carnival royalty, member of the Grand Krewes, the Royal Court, volunteers and sponsors all participate in this outstanding program. The Grand Krewes play a vital role in this program. Each Grand Krewe adopts one of our recipients and raises money for them prior to Carnival Week. They assist Carnival with the production of the Carnival Memphis 5K for Kids.
